F is for Fish

F is for fish.
Fish with totally scribbled on background.
The Jellyfish Rider concept is something I'm working on with my boyfriend. XD
It's based on a little nickname his cousin has for him. :)

H is for Hazel

H is for Hazel.
Or someone who kinda looks like her.
I think she's got bigger eyes than mine.
But I swear she's got my nose.
...I should have lowered the hairline a bit as well.

I fail at snowflakes.

T is for Taste.

T is for Taste.
Some artists do sets of "theme" paintings, such as for the seasons, for colors, and for elements.
I've decided to do that with the concept Taste.

Ugh, my misuse of lines make me twitch.

M is for Map

M is for map.
Those names? All made up. I would suck as a fantasy writer.

Doodles, doodles, doodles!

I have been slacking on my daily doodles this week. :P I drew an extra lot of decent stuff today, though, so I hope that makes up for it. Now, I only wish I had Photoshop so I can adjust these things' contrast.

Don't disturb me while I'm art-ing, y'hear? (Oh, yeah. Art is sooo a verb.)

Profile of my 5-year old cousin, who wanted to draw beside me while I art-ed.

Sketch of a girl in a local Coca-Cola ad. :P But it ended up looking nothing like her. Made her face longer than it's supposed to be (She has a nice round-ish face).

Oh noes, anime style!

After much reflection on fairy tales (and why they're always drawn as skinny little things) and such, I've decided that Rapunzel must be the princess who would be on the chubby side. How could you not be when you're locked up in a tower your entire life with probably only a few square meters to exercise in? Cinderella probably got a lot more exercise, as she did lots of housework for her stepmother. Same for Snow White, who did it for the dwarves. Sleeping Beauty apparently did not eat for a hundred years, which might have gotten her the title of most anorexic princess had her circumstances not suggested that she didn't have much of a choice.

And no, she's not sad in the drawing because she's slightly larger than all the other princesses. You would be lonely too if you've been locked in a tower your whole life and having an old hag pulling on your hair every evening. But, don't worry, darling! Your prince will be so fabulous, he'll love you no matter your dress size. The fact that you're one pretty chick won't count against you, either. ;)

Happy Easter everyone!

More FIgure Drawing

More figure drawings. :D This time, my references were from the lovely Shelldevil at Deviantart, whose gallery is just as much as a figure artist's dream as was lockstock's (who I drew last time)

Yes I know the proportions of the second drawing are a bit off. :P I also reduced the auto contrast thingy our scanner does to everything I scan. It took off so much of my shading last time.

Anyway, I was originally planning to submit the drawings of real people i drew... Those didn't turn out so well,  though. It's just difficult to get people to keep still. :P I should ALSO stop drawing reclined/sitting figures. But I can't help it... They're so much easier to draw than standing ones!
